More podiums for Biesiekirski

15/10/2023

22-year-old Piotr Biesiekirski stood on the podium in both races of the sixth and penultimate round of the Spanish Superstock 1000 Championship in Jerez de la Frontera.

Third in the qualifying session, the only Pole on the grid finished the races in Andalusia in third and second position, respectively, scoring two more podiums and strengthening his grip on the third place in the general standing.

After twelve races this year, the Fau55 Euvic Racing rider has five wins and a total of eight podium finishes to his name.

The last two races of the Spanish championship season will take place next month, in mid-November, on another famous MotoGP track, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

A week earlier, Biesiekirski will end the Moto2 European Championship season in Valencia.

“It was a very demanding round,” says Piotr Biesiekirski. – We raced in Jerez at the beginning of the season and I achieved my first victory in the Superstock 1000 class, but this weekend we didn’t quite get it right with the setup of my Yamaha. Fighting in a field of as many as 29 competitors was not easy in such circumstances, but in the end I was able to get on the podium in both races. I’m taking part in the Spanish Championship this year purely for training, and not in all races, so I’m not focusing on the general classification. However, I am happy that two races before the end of the season we are still fighting for the podium in the final standing. I will do my best to end the season on a strong note in November.”
