Despite a great race in Estoril last Saturday, Piotr Biesiekirski will not be able to conclude his debut season in the FIM World Supersport Championship during this weekend’s final round at Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
The penultimate round of the World Championship was one of the best for the only Polish rider on the Supersport grid.
Tenth in the official practice and 18th in the Superpole qualifying session, the 23-year-old fought for a Top 10 finish in Saturday’s race, eventually crossing the line in an impressive 13th place.
However, the Ecosantagata Althea Racing rider was unable to line up on the grid the next day onboard his Ducati Panigale V2.
The reason was a crash during Saturday’s morning warm-up session, in which the Polish rider injured his left shoulder.
Unfortunately, this injury prevents Piotr from taking part in the final round of the FIM World Supersport Championship, which will take place this weekend in Jerez de la Frontera.
