The only Pole on the FIM World Supersport Championship grid is looking forward to racing in this weekend’s round four at the famous Italian circuit in Misano.
The 22-year-old scored his first World Championship points during the previous round in Assen, where he finished 12th in the second race of the weekend.
Biesiekirski is now returning to action after a two-month break since Assen, having had short test in Misano onboard his Ecosantagata Althea Racing Ducati Panigale V2 two weeks ago.
“The start of the season and the new chapter of my career has been quite intense so it was good to have some time off and spend it in Poland, but I can’t wait to get back to racing now – says Piotr Biesiekirski. – Misano is very grippy but doesn’t use the tyres that much, which means you can push from start to finish without having to manage the grip levels and I really like that. It’s an interesting but demanding circuit. The fast right-hand corners at the end of the lap are quite cool but the final two corners are the most challenging, as you can gain and lose a lot of time there. It’s the home round for my team and while that doesn’t give us any edge over such a strong and experienced field, it does give the weekend a special flavor”.
