30/04/2021

The Polish rider of the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Stylobike Euvic Team, who currently competes in the FIM CEV Repsol, will participate as a wildcard in the Catalan Grand Prix as the third rider of the team together with Lüthi and Bendsnedyer.

Piotr Biesiekirski will return to the World Championship as a wildcard at the Gran Premi de Catalunya to be held in June 6th. The Polish rider already competed in Moto2 last season as a substitute rider. This time Piotr will face the challenge of demonstrating his potential with the Kalex.

The Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team will have three riders in their box in the home race at the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya.

Piotr Biesiekirski

“I can’t wait to return to the World Championship action. I’ve made a lot of progress as a rider since my Grand Prix debut last year. I feel great on the bike and with the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Euvic Team, so I’m really keen to find out how all of this translates to a final result. I really like Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. That’s also where we had our first test together with the team last year when I was able to try the World Championship bike for the first time. I know I can count on a lot of support from the Polish fans which gives me even more motivation. I hope that a good weekend in Barcelona and a good season in the European Moto2 Championship will allow me to return to the Moto2 World Championship full time next year.”
Edu Perales – SAG Racing Team principal
“We’re happy to announce the wildcard in Catalunya GP for Piotr. He will have the opportunity to show his potential with the Kalex. We will enjoy our home race with 3 riders in the Moto2 class.”
