Piotr Biesiekirski Tests with World Supersport Championship Team

09/05/2025

Piotr Biesiekirski has completed a brief but productive test aboard the MV Agusta F3 800 RR run by French squad Flembbo, which competes in the FIM Supersport World Championship.

The 23-year-old was the only Polish rider on the World Supersport grid last season, but spent the winter recovering from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for several months.

On Monday, Biesiekirski took to the track at Misano, which will host the sixth round of the World Championship in mid-June.

During the test, he rode the MV Agusta F3 800 RR – powered by an 800cc, three-cylinder engine – for two 20-minute sessions.

The test was cut short by a sudden downpour and hailstorm, but both the bike and the team left a strong first impression on the Polish rider.

“First of all, I want to thank the Flembbo team for the invitation and a productive day on track,”  said Piotr Biesiekirski“This was my first outing on a full-size circuit since injuring my shoulder more than six months ago. I’m not back to 100% yet, but I feel fit enough to ride and race – and this test confirmed that.

“The MV Agusta immediately impressed me, especially the stability under heavy braking in deep lean angles, and the rear grip was also very good. The bike’s ergonomics suit my physique really well, as it’s a bit bigger and wider than the twin-cylinder machine I raced last year.

“I’ve always liked three-cylinder engines – I’ve raced with them in Moto2 and tested many on track as a journalist. In my opinion, it’s the best engine configuration in the Supersport class, offering a great balance between power and smooth delivery. It allows you to focus on riding instead of wrestling with the engine or chasing the perfect gear ratio.

“Unfortunately, the weather changed after just two sessions and we didn’t get a chance to push the bike to its limits, but its strong points were easy to feel and I quickly got into a good rhythm.

“Once again, thanks to the team for the opportunity. We’ll see what the next few weeks and months bring, but I hope to return to the World Championship grid soon. For now, my focus is on getting back into full training and staying ready for the next opportunity.”
