Piotr Biesiekirski will take part in this weekend’s Grande Premio Brembo do Algarve, the penultimate round of the Moto2 World Championship, which will be the young Pole’s third wild card entry of this season.
The 20-year-old had already raced in the Catalan and Aragon Grand Prix and is set to finish the World Championship season with another wild card entry during next weekend’s 2021 finale in Valencia.
This weekend’s Algarve Grand Prix will take part at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve near Portimao with the Moto2 race scheduled for 3:30 PM CET on Sunday.
“I really like the circuit in Portimao and I can’t wait for the weekend to start – says Piotr Biesiekirski, riding for the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Euvic Team. – Last time out in Aragon I was focusing on getting up to speed right from the word go and keeping a good pace from the very first laps. We’ve made some really good progress in that aspect, even if the race itself didn’t quite go according to the plan. We will continue to work in that direction in Portimao, where I hope to show good pace from the beginning until the end of the weekend and learn as much as I can from the experienced Grand Prix riders”.
