14/11/2022

21-year-old Piotr Biesiekirski will race in the 2023 European Moto2 Championship together with the Fau55 Euvic Racing Team, ran by the former Grand Prix star, Hector Faubel.

The only Pole on the grid is a Top 10 regular in the European Moto2 Championship since he made his full-time debut in the series midway into the 2018 season. In the last three years the now 21-year-old also took part in 12 Moto2 Grand Prix World Championship starts, including two in 2022.

In 2023 Biesiekirski will race for the Fau55 Euvic Racing Team, ran by the 2007 125 World Championship runner up, Hector Faubel, who is also a manager of some of the most promising Moto2 Grand Prix riders.

The 2023 European Moto2 Championship will see a total of seven race weekends, starting in Estoril, Portugal, in May and concluding in Valencia in November.

Polish company, Euvic, which supports Biesiekirski since he won the Polish Moto3 Championship in his rookie season in 2016, will continue as his strategic partner in 2023.

„Hector Faubel is not only a great rider, but also an experienced team and rider manager, looking after some of the most promising stars of the World Championship  – says Piotr Biesiekirski. – We’ve known each other for some time now but this year in particular Hector has been very helpful to me, and we decided to make another step in our cooperation. He’s a former 125 World Championship runner-up and a Moto2 racer so he understands exactly what a rider like me needs. We have an intensive winter and an exciting 2023 season ahead of us, as I want to make that next step towards the front. I’m also very happy that my long-term partner, Euvic, will continue to support me in my journey”.

“We are very happy to have Piotr in the team – adds Hector Faubel. – We are sure that he will improve his racing with us with people who work in the World Championship like our Technical Chief Josete Ruiz. So we are very anxious to plan and prepare for the season and start the first race in Estoril on the best way”.
