Another step for Biesiekirski in Aragon

17/10/2020

19-year-old Piotr Bieskierski made another step at the Motorland Aragon circuit on the Saturday and qualified in 29th position for tomorrow’s Aragon Grand Prix, the Pole’s only fourth Moto2 World Championship start.

The young rookie improved on his yesterday’s best time by almost a tenth of a second during this morning’s third practice session before bettering his result by almost seven tenths in the afternoon’s qualifying to finish the day in the penultimate, 29th position.

Riding for the NTS RW Racing GP Team the only Pole and the youngest rider on the grid will start the Sunday’s Aragon Grand Prix at 1:20 PM CET.

“It was a good day again and I’m happy with our progress – says Piotr Biesiekirski. – It the morning I improved my time by just a bit but I felt much more comfortable on the bike and knew that I could still go much faster. That’s what I did during the qualifying, improving my time by almost seven tenths of a second. I felt much more relaxed again and that’s what I’m the most pleased about. So far I’ve been 29th in all of the sessions this weekend which is a good result considering where I’m experience-wise in only my fourth Grand Prix start. I’m feeling good and I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s race.”
