Biesiekirski returns to Valencia

12/11/2020

19-year-old Piotr Biesiekirski is set for his seventh Moto2 World Championship start this weekend and a second consecutive race at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, with the only Pole on the grid looking for more improvements during the Valencia Grand Prix.

Riding for the NTS RW Racing GP Team, the Polish youngest finished the last weekend’s European Grand Prix with his smallest gap to the winner so far, despite having pretty much no time to set his bike up for dry conditions during wet practice sessions.

Biesiekirski is looking to build on that experience and use the predicted dry time this weekend to make another step with the Sunday’s race starting at 12:20 PM CET.

“The European Grand Prix was a very difficult race because we simply had no time to set the bike up for dry conditions – says Piotr Biesiekirski. – Having said that, we’ve learned a lot and were able to come away from the weekend with lots of positives. We want to build on that and make more progress. We know what we have to focus on to improve out weak points from the last race and I’m really excited about the upcoming weekend. I can’t wait to find out how far forward we can go. On top of that it will be my second consecutive weekend racing at the same track, and almost my „home” one at that, which gives me an even bigger boost.”
