Biesiekirski ready for a hot weekend in Jerez

19/08/2021

19-year-old Piotr Biesiekirski is ready to take part in two Sunday’s races of the European Moto2 Championship in Jerez de la Frontera.

With the Spanish round moved a month ahead, the riders will return to action just four weeks after racing at the Motorland Aragon circuit, before a three-month break before the November’s season finale in Valencia.

Located in Andalusia and named after the legendary World Champion Angel Nieto, the 4.4 km circuit in Jerez de la Frontera was opened in 1986, offering a good mix of varied corners. Last year saw the young Pole finishing the European Moto2 races in sixth and seventh respectively.

This weekend the racing will go ahead at 1 PM and 4 PM local time on Sunday with live action on YouTube at https://youtu.be/oDkMQa1_Bnk .

“I really like the track in Jerez de la Frontera – says Piotr Biesiekirski. – It has a good mix of different corners which flow really nicely together and I’m always happy to race here. We only had a short test here in April so with the high temperatures we’ll have to focus a lot on the setup during practice. The heat will the an extra challenge but I’ve worked really hard since the last round so I’m ready for action and looking forward to a good weekend”.
