Biesiekirski looking forward to Moto2 Aragon wild card

09/09/2021

19-year-old Piotr Biesiekirski will make his second Moto2 World Championship wild card appearance this season during this weekend’s Grand Prix of Aragon.

After taking part in seven Moto2 World Championship races last year, including two at the Motorland Aragon circuit, the only Pole and one of the youngest riders on the grid returned to Grand Prix action earlier this year with a wild card at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

This weekend Biesiekirski will make his second wild card appearance of the season together with the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Euvic Team, for which he’s racing full time in the European Moto2 Championship. The former Polish Moto3 Champion is looking for more steady progress on a World Championship level.

“I can’t wait to return to the Motorland Aragon circuit for my ninth race in the Moto2 World Championship – says Piotr Biesiekirski. – I like this track a lot. It’s fast and wide with the right flow, confidence on turn-in and holding the right lines being the keys to a good laptime. I’m approaching the weekend with a lot of calmness but as always I’ll give it my all and hope to make more progress”.
